The company was founded in year 2009 for manufacturing high end, technologically advanced, new generation professional power tools by the Ashok Kulkarni Family having over 30 years of long experience of working with various multinational partners developing their own unique manufacturing philosophy suitable for extreme heavy duty working conditions. The company is in process of developing a modern manufacturing facility in Shiroli MIDC, District Kolhapur which also houses it's advanced Research & Development Studio. The company offers a wide variety of heavy duty professional power tools for metal working & construction industry.

In 2010 Positron entered into joint venture partnership with M/s Eibenstock Elektrowerkzeuge which was founded in 1919 in Germany and from its start specializes in professional products for heavy duty construction industry and much more. The joint venture covers financial, technical resource sharing of powers tool design & development, manufacturing also distribution of their entire product range for Indian subcontinent. Eibenstock power tools are currently marketed in more than 30 countries worldwide.
